At the factory, the kazan is treated once with cottonseed oil to protect it from rust during transportation. This is not paint or a separate non-stick coating. Before first use, prepare the kazan according to the instructions.
First Use and Care
- Prepare the kazan according to the included instructions before cooking for the first time.
- After washing, dry the cast iron thoroughly and apply a thin layer of food-grade vegetable oil.
- Do not leave the kazan soaking in water or store it while damp.
- Do not cool a hot kazan with cold water.
- For the round bottom, use a suitable uchag or a stable stand.
